Opportunity for financing to construct affordable housing in Marion County.

COMES NOW the Housing Finance Authority of Marion County (HFAMC), a special district organized under Chapter 189, Florida Statutes to promote affordable workforce housing in Marion County Florida and files this notice for the opportunity to provide financing to HFAMC in the estimated amount of $600,000.00 in order to construct 7 new affordable leased housing residences in Marion County. The new homes will be included in the HFAMC affordable rental housing inventory; HFAMC currently has 43 single family residences in its inventory. The HFAMC manages the residential affordable rental inventory under HUD guidelines. The rental program for HFAMC results in positive monthly positive cash flow, including a Marion County approved emergency home repair fund in lieu of private homeowners hazard insurance. The HFAMC is able and willing to secure the financing for the new construction with a mortgage on its residences, the exact number of residences for security to be determined.
