LEGAL NOTICE Notice is hereby given of the adoption by the Melbourne City Council, Brevard County, Florida of the following proposed ordinance: ORDINANCE NO. 2026-14 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MELBOURNE, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF 0.20 + ACRES OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PINE HILL DRIVE, EAST OF NORTH WICKHAM ROAD AND SOUTH OF KINGSTON LANE (1634 PINE HILL DRIVE); PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE CORPORATE LIMITS AND BOUNDARIES THEREOF; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE RECORDED IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING AN ADOPTION SCHEDULE. (ANNX2026-0002) The complete legal description by metes and bounds and the ordinance can be obtained from the Office of the City Clerk, Melbourne City Hall. The ordinance will be considered for adoption by the City Council in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 900 E. Strawbridge Avenue, on April 14, 2026. The City Council meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Contact the City Clerk if you would like to inspect a copy of the ordinance. Interested parties may appear at this meeting and be heard with respect to the adoption of the ordinance. Written comments may be submitted at or before the meeting. Address correspondence to the City Clerk, 900 East Strawbridge Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32901, or e-mail city.clerk@MLBFL.org. The public hearing may be continued from time to time. Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, the City hereby advises the public that: If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at its meeting or hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purpose, affected persons may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
