PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gulf County Board of County Commissioners will hold reading and public hearing to consider adoption of the following Ordinance with the following title:
1. AN ORDINANCE OF GULF COUNTY, FLORIDA; WHEREBY ESTABLISHING THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR ITS GULF COUNTY GUN RANGE AND SHALL BE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE "GULF COUNTY GUN RANGE POLICY" AND WHEREBY PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY AND ENFORCEMENT; PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION BY REFERENCE AND CODIFICATION: PROVIDING FLORIDA STATUTES RELATING TO GUN RANGE SAFETY AND THE PERMISSIBILITY OF DISCHARGING PERSONAL FIREARMS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT, REPEALER, SEVERABILITY AND MODIFICATIONS THAT MAY ARISE FROM CONSIDERATION AT PUBLIC HEARINGS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Public reading, introduction and second public hearing will be held during the Gulf County Board of County Commissioner's Regular Meeting on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. (Eastern) to be held in the Donald H. Butler Commissioner Chamber and meeting room in the Robert M. Moore Administration Building, Gulf County Courthouse Complex, Port St. Joe, Florida. This meeting time and date were passed by unanimous authority by the Board of County Commissioners.
All interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance. If a person decides to appeal any decisions made by the Gulf County Commission with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and that for such purpose he/she may need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceedings made and which would include any evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for inspection on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. est., and 5:00 p.m. est. at the Office of the Clerk of Court, Gulf County Courthouse, 1000 C.G. Costin, Sr., Blvd., Port St. Joe, Florida, 32456.
