PUBLIC NOTICE MARCO ISLAND, FLORIDA INVITATION TO BID City of Marco Island Intersection Traffic Control and Pedestrian Safety Improvements - ITB# 2026-006 Electronic Bids will be received at www.Demandstar.com until 2:00 PM (EST)March 12, 2026. It is preferred for all bids to be submitted electronicallythrough Demandstar (www.demandstar.com). However, paper sealed bidproposals are still accepted. A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held at 9:00 AM (EST), February 4, 2026at 1310, San Marco Road, Marco Island, FL 34145. GENERAL DESCRIPTION PLEASE REFER TO PROJECT PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONSFOR DETAILED REQUIREMENTS The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentalsnecessary for the construction of traffic signal control and pedestrian safetyimprovements at multiple signalized intersections within the City of Marco Island. The work generally includes, but is not limited to, replacement and upgrade of existingtraffic signal controllers, installation of modernized signal cabinets, vehicle detection,emergency vehicle preemption, coordinated signal system implementation, andpedestrian safety improvements, including timing adjustment and blank-out signage atdesignated intersections. Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires thatthe Owner may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
