SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE The Board of Commissioners of the Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District will hold a special meeting on February 18, 2026, at 5:00pm, located at Fire Station #1, 5700 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia, FL. The purpose of the special meeting is as follows: 1. Discussion of Station 2 Construction Contract 2. Executive Session related to collective bargaining 3. Open Session for formal decisions related to collective bargaining (if needed) 4. Discussion of additional staffing needs No other topics will be discussed or decisions made during this special meeting. The public is invited and urged to attend all meetings. Any physically-challenged person requiring auxiliary aids and services for the meeting is requested to contact the office of the Fire Chief at (239)283-0030 with the request at least 2 days prior to the meeting date. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
