CITY OF OVIEDO, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Oviedo, Florida, that the City Council will hold a public hearing to consider enactment of Ordinance No. 1765 entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OVIEDO, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF OVIEDO CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE IV - WRECKER QUALIFICATIONS AND ALLOCATION SYSTEM, OF CHAPTER 50 - TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES, TO AMEND SECTION 50-82, TITLED SCOPE AND PURPOSE, SECTION 50-84, TITLED CALL ALLOCATION SYSTEM; ROTATION LIST, AND SECTION 50-85, TITLED RESPONSE TO CALLS; AMENDING CERTAIN DISTANCE AND RESPONSE TIME REQUIREMENTS FOR LOCAL WRECKER OPERATOR QUALIFICATIONS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND CORRECTION OF SCRIVENER'S ERRORS; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Said Ordinance was placed in first reading on Monday, April 20, 2026, and the City Council will consider same for final passage and adoption after the public hearing, which will be held in the Oviedo City Hall on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:30 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible. At the meeting interested parties may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. These hearings may be continued from time to time until final action is taken by the City Council. A copy of the proposed ordinance is on file with the City Clerk and same may be inspected by the public. Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in this proceeding should contact the ADA Coordinator at (407) 971-5523, at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting. If any person decides to appeal a decision with respect to any matter considered at the above meeting or hearing, he/she will need a verbatim record of all proceedings including the testimony and evidence, which record is not provided by the City of Oviedo (F.S. 286.0105).
