CITY OF PENSACOLA, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING On Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 1st floor, of City Hall, 222 W. Main Street, Pensacola, Florida, the Pensacola City Council will conduct a public hearing in accordance with Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes, to receive citizen input for the purpose of considering the disposition of the following surplus City-owned property: 925 E. Jackson Street (Parcel ID No. 000S009025005082) Disposal will be performed via direct negotiation to a community land trust for the purpose of increasing the availability of affordable homes for low- and moderate-income persons and households. The creation of affordable housing is an objective contemplated and authorized by the Citys adopted community redevelopment plans and Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes. You are not required to respond to or take action regarding this notice; however, if you wish to speak before the City Council on this subject, you are invited to be present at the scheduled hearing. If an individual decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, a record of the proceedings will be required. The individual will need to ensure that a verbatim transcript of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based (Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes). Such person must provide a method for recording the proceedings verbatim. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons needing special accommodations or an interpreter to participate in this proceeding should contact the City Clerk at (850) 435-1606 (or TDD (850) 436-5640) no later than 48 hours prior to the proceedings.
