NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION Notice is hereby given that the City of Brooksville, Florida, will hold its General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., for the purpose of electing three City Council members, each for a term of four (4) years. There will be one City Council member elected representing Seat 1, one City Council member elected representing Seat 5 and one City Council member elected representing Seat 4. The first day for qualifying begins June 8, 2026 at noon, and the final day for qualifying is June 12, 2026, at noon. Qualifying paperwork must be received by noon on June 12, 2026 at the Hernando County Supervisor of Elections, 16264 Spring Hill Drive, Brooksville, Fl 34604, during regular office hours. Candidates for the City Council must submit regular financial reports with the Hernando County Supervisor of Elections, following the deadlines specified by the Florida Division of Elections, which can be found at: https://www.hernandovotes.gov/ Candidates are required to have continuously resided in the City of Brooksville for at least one (1) year immediately prior to qualifying. Each candidate shall be voted upon by the electorate at-large. To qualify as a registered voter for this General Election, you must register with the Hernando County Supervisor of Elections by October 5, 2026.
