City of Center Hill , Florida Second Public Hearing Notice The City of Center Hill plans to apply to the Florida Department of Commerce for an FFY 2025 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of $650,000 in the Housing Rehabilitation category. The grant project activities, estimated dollar amounts, and estimated percentage benefit to low-to-moderate income (LMI) persons are as follows: Housing Rehabilitation/Demolition/Relocation: $552,500 (100% LMI benefit); Temporary Relocation: $2,700 (100% LMI benefit); Grant Administration: $97,500 (LMI benefit is not applicable). Total grant amount: $650,000. In addition, the City will consider contributing local match to the project not to exceed $25,000. The city plans to rehabilitate or demolish and replace nine (9) very low-, low- and-moderate income homes within the city limits that do not meet current building code standards. The city will accept applications for rehabilitation assistance from qualified homeowners if grant funding is received. The City of Center Hill does not expect that anyone will be permanently displaced as a result of CDBG-funded activities. If any persons are displaced as a result of the planned activities, the City of Center Hill will assist them as described in the citys anti-displacement and relocation policy, which is available for review at city hall, which is located at 94 S. Virginia Ave., Center Hill, Florida 33514. A public hearing to provide citizens an opportunity to comment on the application will be held on April 16, 2026 at 5:15 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the City of Center Hill Meeting Hall located at 94 S. Virginia Ave., Center Hill, Florida 33514. A draft copy of the application will also be available for review during normal business hours in the Clerks Office at 94 S. Virginia Ave., Center Hill Florida 33514 by noon on April 13, 2026. Persons wanting to submit written comments on the application should send them to Diane Lamb, City Clerk, by e-mail at cntrhill@embarqmail.com or by mail to P. O. Box 649, Center Hill, Florida 33514 no later than April 15, 2026. A copy of the final application will be available for review in the Clerks Office no later than April 23, 2026. The application will be submitted to the Florida Department of Commerce on or before May 5, 2026.
