NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF EUSTIS, FLORIDA ORDINANCE NUMBER 2026-20 Notice is hereby given that the Eustis City Commission will hold a second and final public hearing on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the City Commission Chambers at Eustis City Hall, 10 North Grove Street, Eustis, Florida. The Local Planning Agency (LPA) held its required public hearing on April 2, 2026, at 5:45 p.m., and the first City Commission public hearing on this ordinance was held immediately thereafter on April 2, 2026. The purpose of the hearing is to consider Ordinance Number 2026 20,an ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Eustis, Florida, amending the City of Eustis Land Development Regulations; providing for the prohibition of Medical Marijuana Treatment Center dispensing facilities within the City pursuant to Section 381.986(11)(b), Florida Statutes; providing legislative findings in support thereof; providing for definitions, nonconforming uses, and enforcement; providing for conflicts, severability, codification; and providing for an effective date. A Business Impact Estimate Eligibility Form has been completed in accordance with Section 166.041(4), Florida Statutes. The City has determined that the ordinance qualifies for the statutory exemption applicable to amendments of land development regulations; therefore, a full Business Impact Estimate is not required. The completed eligibility form is available for public review on the Citys website. Interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. The proposed ordinance and related materials may be inspected at the Development Services Department, 111 East Orange Avenue, Eustis, Florida, during normal business hours. Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in this proceeding should contact the City Clerks Office at (352) 483 5430 at least 48 hours before the meeting. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
