NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT AMENDMENTS TO HENDRY COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN Notice is hereby given that the Local Planning Agency of Hendry County (LPA) will conduct a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Hendry County Comprehensive Plan. The hearing will take place on May 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Hendry County Courthouse, Commission Chambers, 25 E. Hickpochee Ave, LaBelle, Florida. The LPA will determine if the amendment is consistent with the Hendry County Comprehensive Plan. The recommendations of the LPA will be made to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC). The BCC will consider whether or not it wishes to transmit the amendment to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. This hearing will be held on June 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Clewiston City Hall, 115 W Ventura Ave., Clewiston Florida 33440. Interested parties may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. Oral and written comments will be accepted. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for inspection at the Hendry County Planning and Zoning Department, 640 S. Main St., LaBelle, FL between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners office, 25 E. Hickpochee Ave., LaBelle, FL between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
