PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Destin Fire Control District will have a Special Board Meeting for the purpose of conducting a closed attorney-client session to discuss issues relating to pending litigation in Federal Court Case Number 3:24cv335-MCR-ZCB on Monday, April 20th, 2026 at 2 p.m.. The Meeting will be conducted at the Destin Fire Control District, 848 Airport Road, Destin, Florida 32541. The Meeting will be attended by Fire Commissioners, Mike Buckingham, J. Thomas Green, Travis Glaze, Robert A. Wagner and Jackson L. Wilson Jr, together with Fire Chief Kevin G. Sasser, Michael Landis, Kathryn Wagner, and Attorney Michael B. Kelly. The procedures for the attorney-client session will be those consistent with Florida Statutes, Chapter 286. This special meeting will be open to the press and public with the exception of the attorney-client portion of the Meeting which will be closed to the press and public pursuant to Florida law.
