PUBLIC NOTICE THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS OF OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA announces that a parent/teacher committee will hold public meetings on the development of the school calendar for the 2027-2028 school year. These meetings will be conducted in the Room 115 at the School District Central Administration Complex, located at 202A Highway 85 North, Niceville, Florida, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., and Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The May 20, 2026, date is scheduled to continue the development of the proposed 2027-2028 school calendar, if not completed. This second meeting date may be cancelled if the proposed school calendar for the 2027-2028 school year has been completed for recommendation to the Superintendent and the School Board. These meetings will be open to the press and public. Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disability Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in these meetings is asked to advise the School Board at least 48 hours before the meeting by contacting the Superintendent of Schools at the School District Central Administration Complex, at (850) 689-7185.
