CITY OF FORT MYERS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS The City of Fort Myers Planning Board will hold public hearings to consider the following: PUBLIC HEARING: Consider a request to rezone 0.94 +/- acres located at 2702-2726 Hanson St., from Light Industrial (IL) to Heavy Industrial (IH). (Ward 3) (Quasi-Judicial). PUBLIC HEARING: Consider the vacation of a 0.46 +/- acre portion of Lee Street right-of-way, located north of Edwards Drive. (Ward 4) (Quasi-Judicial) COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: Amendments to Element 7 Public Safety; Element 9 Historic Preservation: Element 10 Capital Improvement; Element 11 Inter-Governmental Coordination; Element 13 Public Education Facilities: Element 14 Property Rights. The hearings will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm in Council Chambers at Oscar M. Corbin Jr. City Hall, 2200 Second St, Fort Myers, Florida. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Planning Board with respect to any matter considered at such hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings & that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which includes the testimony & evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
