NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETINGS Notice is hereby given that the School Board of Highlands County, Florida, will hold a Special School Board Meeting on May 11, 2026. The meeting will start at 4:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be practicable, in the Garland Boggus Board Room, 426 School Street, Sebring, Florida. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and determine job descriptions at the District office. Only matters specified may be considered. If a person intends to appeal the Boards decision with respect to any matter, or has any thought that an appeal may be taken, the person has the responsibility to ensure that a verbatim (word for word) record of the proceeding is made and that the record includes all testimony and evidence upon which an appeal is to be based. The School Board of Highlands County, Florida does not discriminate upon the basis of any individuals disability status. This non-discrimination policy involves every aspect of the Boards functions, including ones access to, participation, employment or treatment in its programs or activities.
