The CDBG Programs primary objective is the development of viable communities by providing decenthousing, a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons oflow to moderate income. Based on historical data, Brevard County could be awarded an estimated$1,363,123.00 annually for the next five (5) years. These funds may be used for infrastructure, publicservices, comprehensive planning activities, speed humps, rehabilitation of housing, and public facilities. The HOME Programs primary objective is the creation and sustainability of affordable housing for low tomoderate income households. HOME Program funds are received by Brevard County on behalf of theBrevard HOME Consortium, consisting of Brevard County and the cities of Titusville, Cocoa, Melbourneand Palm Bay. The anticipated amount of HOME funds for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 will be $1,071,743.52plus any program income on hand. The breakdown of HOME is as follows: Brevard County $447,938.61,Titusville $113,922.19; Cocoa $46,258.05; Melbourne $243,925.05; and Palm Bay $219,699.62. Basedon historical data, Brevard County HOME Consortium could be awarded an estimated $1,071,743.52annually for the next five (5) years. These funds may be used for the acquisition, construction,rehabilitation of housing, purchase assistance or for direct assistance to renters. Agencies, groups and individuals are invited and encouraged to attend these meetings and share theirideas and comments with county staff, advisory councils and the general public.
