NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Ordinance O2026-17, Duke Energy Franchise Agreement Notice is hereby given that the City of Wildwood, Florida will hold a Public Hearing on Ordinance Number O2026-17 during the 7:00 p.m. City Commission Meeting on April 27, 2026, in the City Hall Commission Chambers, located at 100 North Main Street, Wildwood, Florida. ORDINANCE O2026-17 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO DUKE ENERGY FLORIDA, LLC d/b/a DUKE ENERGY, A NON-EXCLUSIVE UTILITY RIGHTS OF WAY UTILIZATION FRANCHISE; PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELATED TO THE OCCUPANCY OF MUNICIPAL STREETS AND RIGHTS OF WAY IN THE CITY OF WILDWOOD, FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING ELECTRIC SERVICE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The ordinance grants Duke Energy a franchise agreement in which Duke shall maintain the right to place its facilities within the City’s rights-of-way to provide electric service within their service area. The proposed ordinance may be inspected by the public at the City Clerk’s Office located in Wildwood City Hall, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the hearing and provide comments regarding the proposed ordinance.
