Public hearing for appeal of Certificate of Appropriateness denial in Sanford.

APPEAL OF CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS DENIAL


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Sanford will hold a public hearing to consider an appeal of the Historic Preservation Boards denial of a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) for proposed new construction at the property located at 817 Locust Avenue, Sanford, Florida, within the Georgetown Residential Historic District.


The appeal will be heard by the Sanford City Commission on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Commission Chambers at Sanford City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida 32771.


Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard regarding the proposed amendments. Interested parties may also submit written comments regarding the proposed appeal to City of Sanford, City Clerk, P.O. Box 1788, Sanford, FL 32772-1788.


Copies of the appeal are on file in the Department of Planning and Development Services at City Hall, 300 N. Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida and may be inspected by the public.
