Indian River Farms Water Control District
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN THAT THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE LANDOWNERS OF INDIAN RIVER FARMS WATER CONTROL DISTRICT WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 OCLOCK P.M. ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27,2026, AT THE OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT AT 7305 4TH STREET, VERO BEACH, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA.
AT SUCH MEETING ONE (1) SUPERVISOR WILL BE ELECTED, AND THERE SHALL BE TRANSACTED ANY AND ALL BUSINESS THAT SHALL PROPERLY COME BEFORE THE MEETING, EACH LANDOWNER SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ONE (1) VOTE IN PERSON OR MAY BE REPRESENTED BY PROXY DULY SIGNED, DESIGNATING THE PERSON TO WHOM THE PROXY IS GIVEN FOR EACH ACRE OF LAND OWNED BY HIM OR HER IN SAID WATER CONTROL DISTRICT UPON WHICH DRAINAGE TAXES ARE NOT DELINQUENT.
THE BOARD OF DRAINAGE COMMISSIONERS OF THIS STATE, AT SUCH MEETING, MAY REPRESENT THE STATE OF FLORIDA, AND SHALL HAVE RIGHT TO VOTE FOR SUPERVISOR OR UPON ANY MATTER THAT MAY PROPERLY COME BEFORE SUCH MEETING, TO THE EXTENT OF THE ACREAGE OWNED BY THE STATE IN SAID WATER CONTROL DISTRICT, WHICH VOTE MAY BE CAST BY ANY PERSON DESIGNATED BY SAID BOARD OF DRAINAGE COMMISSIONERS: GUARDIANS MAY REPRESENT THEIR WARDS; EXECUTORS AND ADMINISTRATORS MAY REPRESENT ESTATES OF DECEASED PERSONS AND PRIVATE CORPORATION MAY BE REPRESENTED BY THEIR OFFICERS OR DULY AUTHORIZED AGENTS.
ANY SUCH PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT SUCH MEETING, SUCH PERSON WILL NEED A RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS AND MAY NEED TO INSURE THAT VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, INCLUDING THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
