INVITATION FOR BIDS GLYNN COUNTY AIRPORT COMMISSION ST. SIMONS ISLAND AIRPORT AT McKINNON FIELD SKYLANE DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE - PHASE 2 Sealed bids will be received by the Glynn County Airport Commission, until 3:00 P.M. local time, Tuesday, 24 March 2026, at which time they shall be opened in the 2nd Floor Conference Room, Glynn County Airport Commission, Brunswick Golden Isles Airport, 295 Aviation Parkway, Suite 205, Brunswick, Georgia 31525-6804, for: ST. SIMONS ISLAND AIRPORT AT McKINNON FIELD SKYLANE DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE - PHASE 2 SCOPE OF WORK: The Glynn County Airport Commission seeks to facilitate continued private aircraft hangar development at St. Simons Island Airport by preparing development-ready parcels. This program includes the construction of infrastructure to support the development of the proposed Skylane Hangar Development - Phase 2. Proposed infrastructure improvements include grading, paving, stormwater management and conveyance, utility infrastructure (water, sewer, fire protection, communications, electricity, site lighting), pavement milling/demolition, pavement marking, fencing/gates, grassing, landscaping, and airfield lights and signage. The project included both FAA and GDOT asphalt mix materials. The program includes a Base Bid, plus three (3) Additive Bid Schedules which may be awarded at the discretion of the Commission. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A Pre-Bid Conference for this project will be held on Tuesday, 10 March 2026,at 3:00 P.M. (local time) at the 2nd Floor Conference Room, Glynn County Airport Commission, Brunswick Golden Isles Airport, 295 Aviation Parkway, Suite 205, Brunswick, Georgia 31525-6804. This conference will include information that is essential for all bidders to understand. Therefore, ALL BIDDERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND the pre-bid conference. The Pre-Bid Conference will also provide the only opportunity for bidders to examine the project site at St. Simons Island Airport. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany bids. Contract Bonding shall also be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. Participation in the Owner's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program is required. The goal for this contract is zero point zero percent (0.0%) to be performed by firms certified as DBE by the Georgia Department of Transportation. This project will be bid as a single contract. Bid prices must be held for up to 90 days.
