Georgia Department of Transportation Request for Feedback For P.I. No. 0020169 Bryan, Chatham, and Effingham Counties The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is requesting review and feedback on the proposed project. We appreciate your participation in this process. This project proposes to widen Interstate 95 (I-95) by a single lane in each direction from SR 144/Ford Avenue (Exit 90) to the Savannah River (Georgia/South Carolina state line) at approximately mile marker 112. The proposed project would help address current and future transportation needs in Bryan, Chatham, and Effingham counties. As construction progresses through each interchange between Exit 90 and mile marker 112, short-term detours of I-95 on- and off-ramps may be needed. Whether ramp detours are necessary is still under evaluation, and the project team will avoid them wherever possible. If necessary, traffic would be temporarily redirected to the nearest adjacent interchange. Any potential effects on hurricane evacuation routes would be minimized and closely coordinated with local and state officials. Should ramp detours be required, additional details—including detour maps—would be posted on the project website. Georgia DOT has placed information about the proposed project at the following link: https://i-95-widening-from-sr-144-to-savannah-river-0020169-gdot.hub.arcgis.com/. The information on the website is provided in place of an in-person meeting allowing the public to review the proposed project, provide feedback, or write in with questions. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Information: To request materials in accessible formats for people with disabilities contact the District Planning and Programming Liaison, Katie Proctor, at 912-530-4457 or kproctor@dot.ga. gov. Comments will be accepted concerning this project until Friday, March 27, 2026. Written statements may be submitted to: Ms. Amber Phillips State Environmental Administrator Georgia Department of Transportation 600 West Peachtree Street, NW – 16th Floor Atlanta, Georgia 30308
