REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)
ASBESTOS ABATEMENT CONSULTING SERVICES
Thornton Township High School District 205, 465 E170th Street, South Holland, Illinois, 60473, hereby invites qualified firms to submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for Asbestos Abatement Consulting Services in connection with classroom renovation projects scheduled for Summer 2026.
Services may include, but are not limited to: asbestos inspections, bulk sampling, laboratory coordination, project monitoring, air monitoring, clearance testing, reporting, and regulatory compliance oversight in accordance with AHERA, OSHA, EPA, and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Interested firms must demonstrate:
 Experience providing asbestos consulting services in K12 school environments
 Current IDPH asbestos firm licensing and use of properly credentialed staff
 Independence from asbestos abatement contractors
 Adequate staffing and capacity to meet summer construction schedules
Required Submittals shall include:
 Firm qualifications and relevant project experience
 Resumes and certifications of credentialed personnel
 Gross revenue statements for the past two (2) fiscal years
 Proof of required insurance coverage (General Liability, Professional Liability, Workers Compensation)
 Company certifications and regulatory compliance documentation

General Conditions:
This Request for Qualifications is issued in accordance with Illinois School Code and applicable procurement statutes. The District reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, waive informalities, and request additional information. This RFQ does not obligate the District to award a contract or pay any costs incurred in preparation of a response.
