SECTION 00100  NOTICE TO BIDDERS
SEALED PROPOSALS WILL BE RECEIVED by Thornton Township High School District 205 (the ‘Owner), at Thornwood High School, Main Office (Door #2), 17101 South Park Avenue, South Holland, Illinois 60473, up to the hour of 3:00 p.m. on March 6, 2026, for the following work:
CLASSROOM RENOVATIONS
THORNRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL
THORNTON HIGH SCHOOL
THORNWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THORNTON TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 205

Bids will be opened at that time, or shortly thereafter.
There will be four bid packages: General Trades, Flooring, Painting and Electrical/Low Voltage.
There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting at 2:30 p.m. on February 26, 2026. We will first meet in the west entrance lobby / Door #2 at Thornwood High School, then meet at Thornridge High School a
nd then meet at the Thornton High School.

 or call Sarah Jacobs, Project Coordinator Supervisor 847.593-3161, Option 2). Paper copies are available for purchase at the cost of the bidders.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, or a certified check payable to the order of the Owner, certified by a responsible bank for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a Labor/Material Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder, written by a Surety approved by the Owner. Not less than the prevailing wage shall be paid for labor on the work to be done as required by law.
The successful bidder will be required to comply with the provisions of all State of Illinois and federal laws concerning public works projects, including the Illinois School Code, as well as the State of Illinois Human Rights Act and the regulations implementing administrative agency rules and regulations.
The Board of Education, Thornton Township High School District 205, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any or all irregularities or technicalities in the bid, and award the bid in the manner that best serves the interests of the Owner as permitted by law.
