Sealed bids invited for Thomas Park construction project by Sterling Park District.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS The Sterling Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Thomas Park. Work will include site clearing, earthwork operations, drainage, asphalt paving, color coating, concrete curbs, walks and paving, playground equipment installation, chain link fencing, shade canopy installation, landscape plantings, turf seeding and native seeding. Project manuals, including bid form and specifications, and construction documents are available after 10:00 AM on March 11, 2026 from Accurate Reprographics, 2368 Corporate Lane, Suite 100, Naperville, Illinois 60560, (630) 428-4433, www.rviplanroom. com. Bidding documents are available at the non-refundable cost of reproduction.  Bids will be accepted at the Sterling Park District, 1913 3rd Avenue, Sterling, Illinois 61801, during regular office hours. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor's name and address, and “Bid for Thomas Park,” on the face of the envelope. Bids must be received no later than 10:00 AM on March 25, 2026. Bids will be opened at 10:01 AM on March 25, 2026, at the Sterling Park District 1913 3rd Avenue, Sterling, Illinois 61801. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Sterling Park District. The Sterling Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Sterling Park District. The Sterling Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. The successful bidder, as determined by the Sterling Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) for the locality of the Sterling Park District (Whiteside County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and all sub-contractors shall be required to submit, to the Illinois Department of Labor certified payrolls no later than the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month.
