SECTION 00100 NOTICE TO BIDDERS TITLED, SEALED BIDS WILL BE RECEIVED in Lincoln Elementary School District Main Office to the Attn: of Dr. Anita Rice, Superintendent, 912 Burnham Ave., Calumet City, IL. 60409, up to the hour of 2:00 p.m. on March 6, 2026, for the following work: SERVICE CONTRACT FOR HEATING, VENTILATING, AIR CONDITIONING and TEMPERATURE CONTROLS - 2026 for Lincoln Elementary School - District 156 410 West 157th Street Calumet City, IL 60409 Project No. 26-156-01 Bids will be opened at that time, or shortly thereafter. Work will be let under one service provider contract, to the lowest responsible bidder. Bid documents may from the office of the Architect, PLANERA + REID ARCHITECTS / CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT, 18225 Morris Avenue, Homewood Illinois 60430. 708-747-3600. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on February 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Lincoln School, 410 West 157th Street, Calumet City, IL 60409. ALL BIDDERS MUST BE PRE-QUALIFIED. If not pre-qualified, complete A.I.A. Document A-305 (Contractors Qualifications Statement) for consideration before receiving Plans & Specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond, execute the Contract and proceed with the work. Upon failure to do so, the bidder shall forfeit the amount deposited as liquidated damages and no mistakes or errors on the part of the bidder shall excuse the bidder or entitle them to a return of the aforementioned amount. A 100% Performance Bond and a Labor/Material Bond will be required of the successful bidder, written by a Surety approved by the Owner. Bidders will examine the reference plans and specifications and the location in which said work is to be done and judge for themselves all the circumstances and surrounding conditions affecting the cost and nature of the work, and all bids will be presumed to be based on such examination familiarity and judgment. Compliance with all requirements of the laws of the State of Illinois shall be mandatory. These requirements shall include, but are not limited to, payment of the Prevailing Wage including fringe benefits for labor on the work to be done, the provisions of all State of Illinois and Federal laws concerning public works projects, the State of Illinois Human Rights Act, and the regulations of the Illinois Human Rights Commission.
