STATE OF ILLINOIS COUNTY OF COOK, ss. In the Circuit Court of Cook County, County Department, Probate Division. Estate of EVELYN KENNY, Deceased. No. 2026 P 1263. Notice is hereby given that a petition was filed in this proceeding stating that the above named decedent died on January 31, 1993. Letters of office were issued on March 31, 2026. A petition to admit will as to omitted or unnotified persons was filed on April 13, 2026 stating that ESTATE OF JAMES KENNY, PATRICK KENNY, EDWARD KENNY and MICHAEL KENNY were omitted from the prior petition and that the post office address(es) of the above named omitted or unnotified persons (and of the unknown heirs, legatees and devisees), are unknown and asking that the instrument, previously filed with the Circuit Court of Cook County, be admitted to probate as decedent's will to the omitted or unnotified person. Notice is also given to ADELE SWEETWOOD, JACK KENNY, and ASHELY DELA CRUZ, who are heirs or legatees in the above proceeding to probate a will, that an order was entered by the court on 03/31/2026 admitting the will to probate. Within 42 days after the filing of the petition to admit will as to omitted or unnotified person, you may file a petition with court to require proof of the will by testimony of the witnesses to the will in open court or other evidence, as provided in section 5/6-21 of the Probate Act (Ill. Compiled Stat., Ch. 755, par. 5/6-21). You also have the right under section 5/8-1 of the Probate Act (Ill. Compiled Stat., Ch. 755, par. 5/8-1) to contest the validity of the will by filing a petition with the court within 6 months after admission of the will to probate as to the omitted and unnotified person. Claims against the estate may be filed in the office of the clerk in Room 1202, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 W. Washington St., Chicago, IL, or with the representative, or both, on or before October 20, 2026, or, if mailing or delivery of a notice from the representative is required by section 5/18-3 of the Probate Act of 1975, the date stated in that notice. Any claim not filed on or before that date is barred. Copies of a claim filed with the clerk must be mailed or delivered by the claimant to the representative and to the attorney within 10 days after it has been filed.
