No. 2026 PR 110CLAIM NOTICE AND NOTICE TO UNKNOWN HEIRS Notice is given of the death of James W. Hogan. Letters of office were issued to David J. Kahn of 2948 11th Avenue B, Moline, IL 61265, as Independent Executor, whose attorneys are Katz Nowinski P.C., 1000 – 36th Avenue, Suite 201, Moline, Illinois, 61265. Notice is given to the unknown heirs of James W. Hogan, who are named in a petition filed in the above proceeding to probate a will and whose names or addresses are not stated in the petition, that an order was entered by the court on April 28, 2026, admitting the Will of John W. Hogan to probate. Within forty-two (42) days after the effective date of the original order of admission, you may file a petition with the court to require proof of the Will by testimony of the witnesses to the Will in open court or other evidence, as provided in paragraph 6-21 of the Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/6-21). You also have the right under paragraph 8-1 of the Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/8-1) to contest the validity of the Will by filing a petition with the court within six (6) months after admission of the Will to probate. The estate will be administered without court supervision unless under paragraph 28-4 of the Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/28-4), any interested person terminates independent administration at any time by mailing or delivering a petition to terminate to the clerk. Claims against the estate may be filed in the office of the Clerk of the Court, Rock Island County Courthouse, Rock Island, Illinois, 61201, or with the representative, or both, on or before November 9th, 2026, and any claim not filed within that period is barred. Copies of a claim filed with the clerk must be mailed or delivered to the representative and to the attorney within ten (10) days after it has been filed. Dated this 28th day of April 2026.
