NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNEXATION AGREEMENT BOURBONNAIS VILLAGE BOARD BOURBONNAIS, ILLINOIS On April 6, 2026, at 5:10 p.m., a public hearing will be held by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Bourbonnais in the Bourbonnais Village Hall, 700 Main Street NW, Bourbonnais, Illinois, 60914 for the purpose of considering and hearing testimony as to an ordinance authorizing the execution of an annexation agreement in regard to the annexation to the Village of Bourbonnais, Illinois, of a tract of property comprising approximately 6.6 acres of land generally bounded by Oak Street on the North, the Kankakee River on the South, and Riverfront Park on the East and legally described as follows: The East 25 feet of lot 12, lots 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 in Pottawatamie Grove second subdivision in the Me-She-Ke-Te-No Reservation, Township 31 North, Range 11 East of the third principal meridian, Kankakee County, Illinois, as recorded in surveyor's record book #1, page 263 on February 18, 1939, Also described as: Part of lots 15 and 16 in the subdivision of lots 13 and 12 in the Me-She-Ke-Te-No reservation, Township 31 North, Range 11 East of the third principal meridian, lying between a line on the bank of the Kankakee River and the center thread of the said river, more particularly described as follows: beginning at a point on the West line, 325.00 feet South of the Northwest corner of lot 15; thence Easterly 300.00 feet; thence South at right angles 150.00 feet; thence Easterly about 1460.00 feet along the bank of the Kankakee river, 50.00 feet from the low water line to a point on the east line of lot 12, 1750.00 feet South of the Northwest corner of lot 6; thence South on the said East line to the center thread of the Kankakee River; thence Westerly along the said center thread to a point in line with the West line of lot 15; thence North on the said west line to the place of beginning, and all rights and interests appurtenant thereto, Lying South of the following described property: Commencing at a point 1208.00 feet East and 483.12 feet South of the Northwest corner of lot 14 of Wooley's subdivision of lot 13 of Boylan's subdivision of the Me-She-Ke-Te-No reservation for the point of beginning in closing description; thence due East 527.40 feet to the East line of lot 12 of Boylan's subdivision of said Me-She-Ke-Te-No reservation; thence South to the Northerly property line of land conveyed to Illinois light and power company by deed dated December 1, 1913, recorded in book 280, page 230 records of Kankakee County, and to land conveyed to Arthur N. Powers by deed dated December 1, 1913, and recorded in book 283, page 251 records of Kankakee County; thence Westerly along said Northerly property line to a point directly South of the point of beginning; thence North to said point of beginning, said premises being also known as the East 25.00 feet of lot 12, and all of lots 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 of a certain unrecorded plat of l. c. looker dated January 22, 1938, situated in Kankakee County; Illinois, said premises described in doc. no. 86-10082 dated August 31, 1981 and recorded on September 30, 1986 in Kankakee County, Illinois. Property Index Nos.: 17-08-24-305-010 and 17-08-24-305-012 It is proposed that the subject property be zoned R-1 Single-Family Residence for a park/open space in accordance with the annexation agreement. An accurate map of the subject property proposed to be annexed to the Village is on file with the Village Clerk. You are further notified that the proposed annexation agreement may be changed, altered, modified, amended, or redrafted in its entirety after the public hearing. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard.
