Has Offered the Opportunity to Request a
Public Information Meeting to be Held
For thebAtkinson Road and Washington Street
Intersection Improvements
The Village of Grayslake is performing a Preliminary
Engineering Study Update for the Atkinson Road and
Washington Street Intersection Improvements. This is
a federally-funded project, and the offer to request a
Public Information Meeting to be held is in compliance
with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
requirements and the Illinois Department of Trans-
portation’s public involvement policy.
The Village is seeking public comments on the
proposed improvements and the effects that the
proposed improvements to the Atkinson Road and
Washington Street intersection will have on Mill Creek
Park. Mill Creek Park, which is under the jurisdiction
of the Village of Grayslake, is a publicly owned recre-
ational park. As such, it is subject to protection under
Section 4(f) of the U.S. Department of T
