TOWN OF NEWTON ORDINANCE 2026-4 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND, RE-VISE, AND SUPPLEMENT CHAPTER 320, ENTITLED “ZONING: FORM-BASED CODE”, MOST NOTABLY SECTION 320-29, ENTITLED “AF-FORDABLE HOUSING” This ordinance adopts a comprehensive affordable housing ordinance to comply with New Jersey's Fair Housing Act and court requirements. TAKE NOTICE that the above Ordinance was introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Newton conducted on Monday, February 9, 2026and will be considered for final adoption, after public hearing, at a regular meeting of the Town Council to be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 7:00 pm in the Newton Municipal Building, 39 Trinity Street, Newton, New Jersey; and during the week prior to and up to an including the date of such meeting, copies of said ordinance will be made available of the Clerk's Office to the members of the general public who shall request same.
