City of Rahway seeks bids for the purchase of its Water System.

CITY OF RAHWAY  REQUEST FOR BIDS   Notice is hereby given that the CITY OF RAHWAY (the "City") is seeking Bids from qualified firms for the purchase of the City's Water System ("System") pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:62-1, et seq. (the "Municipal Sale or Lease Law").  All comments and questions concerning this Request for Bids ("RFB") and the corresponding procedures and requirements must be addressed in writing, and received no later than March 4, 2026 at 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, via email, facsimile or mail, to the following:  Frank C. A complete set of RFB documents may be obtained on the City's website at https://cityofrahway.org/Bids.aspx. All potential bidders must register to participate in the RFB process following the instructions contained therein.  An Optional Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on February 25, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time at the 1045 Westfield Avenue, Rahway NJ 07065, at which time a System inspection may be conducted by prospective bidders. Preregistration in accordance with the bid documents is required before attending. It is strongly encouraged that all prospective bidders attend said meeting.   Sealed Bids must be received by April 1, 2026 until 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time at the Rahway City Hall, Office of the Clerk, at which time the bids shall be then publicly opened and read aloud in the Municipal Council Chambers on site. The City reserves the right to reject Bids that are not received by the City at the time and in the manner designated by the RFB. Any and all Bids may be rejected if deemed appropriate by the City in accordance with applicable law.  Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidders shall be required to provide a Bid bond with their Bid in the amount of $20,000.
