PUBLIC NOTICE   Take notice that an application has been submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Land Use Regulation for a Waterfront Development Individual Permit, Water Quality Certification, and Flood Hazard Area Permit Extension for the development described below:  APPLICANT: NJ Transit PROJECT NAME: Portal Bridge Capacity Enhancement Project (PBCE or Project) PROJECT DESCRIPTION: NJ Transit is proposing the continuation of construction activities previously authorized by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Land Resource Protection (DLRP) on April 24, 2020 (File #0900-09-0005.2). The application regarding the proposed modifications to the Portal Bridge remain unchanged. The permit and extension are being requested due to minor changes in construction access roads as a result of field conditions and ongoing construction. PROJECT LOCATION: North East Corridor, Town of Secaucus and Kearny, Hudson County, New Jersey  This notice is sent by order of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The complete permit application package can be reviewed by the public at either the Municipal Clerks' offices, or by appointment at the Department's Trenton Office. Either a 30-day public comment period or public hearing will be held on the application in the future; individuals may request a public hearing on the application within 15 calendar days of the date of this notice. Requests for a public hearing shall be sent to the Department given below and shall state the specific nature of the issues to be raised at the hearing.
