Town of Throop (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Throop Manrow Road Bridge Repairs

In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the office of the Town of Throop, located at 7471 Robinson Road, Auburn, New York 13021, until June 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

Selective repair of an existing multiple steel girder vehicle bridge in the Town of Throop on Manrow Road and spanning over North Creek. The existing bridge is approximately 20'-0" wide and has a span of approximately 34'-0". Five (5) of the interior steel "S" shape girders will be reinforced with welded WT members.

Sealed Bids are requested for the following Contract: Contract #1: General

In accordance with Section 101.5. of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, Bidders shall submit with its bid a separate sealed list that names each subcontractor that the bidder will use to perform work on the contract, and the agreed-upon amount to be paid to each, for: (a) plumbing and gas fitting, (b) steam heating, hot water heating, ventilating and air conditioning apparatus and (c) electric wiring and standard illuminating fixtures.

Project has an expected duration of 120 days.

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website for a non-refundable fee of $49.00. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.

Bidding Documents may be examined at the offices of MRB Group (The Culver Road Armory, 145 Culver Road, Suite 160, Rochester, N.Y. 14620), and the Town of Throop (7471 Robinson Road, Auburn, New York 13021), on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM. Bidding Documents will not be available from MRB Group or the Owner.

Instructions to Bidders.

The Town of Throop, Cayuga County, New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.

Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.

The Town of Throop does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
