LEGAL NOTICE ENDWELL FIRE DISTRICT NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Endwell Fire District, Town of Union, County of Broome, State of New York, will hold a special meeting on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of interviewing candidates to fill a vacancy on the Board of Fire Commissioners. The meeting will be held at the Endwell Fire Station, 3508 Country Club Road, Endwell, NY 13760. The Endwell Fire District is seeking candidates to fill one (1) open position on the Board of Fire Commissioners. Candidates must be residents of the Fire District and submit letters of interest to the District no later than Monday, April 20, 2026, at 5:00 pm. Letters of interest may be submitted by mail to the District Office, 3508 Country Club Road, Endwell, NY, 13760; in person during regular business hours, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., or by email to firecommissioners@endwellfire.com. The appointment is to fill the unexpired term ending on December 31, 2026. In accordance with New York State law, the position will be subject to election at the next annual Fire District election to fill the remainder of the five-year term. The Board of Fire Commissioners intends to appoint a candidate at the regular monthly meeting of the Board, scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Endwell Fire Station, 3508 Country Club Road, Endwell, NY 13760.
