Legal Notice # 21931313 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF BABYLON PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Babylon will hold a Public Hearing at Babylon Town Hall, 200 East Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst, New York, on the 15th day of April, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., prevailing time, to consider amending Chapter 99 of the Babylon Town Code as set forth in the annexed Exhibit "A". Exhibit "A" AMEND as follows: CHAPTER 99 COASTAL EROSION ARTICLE IV VARIANCES AND APPEALS 99-22 Coastal Erosion Hazard Board of Review The Town Board is hereby designated as the There is established a board of review known as the Coastal Erosion Hazard Board of Review, which shall consist of three members: the Commissioner of Environmental Control, the Commissioner of Planning and Development, and the Town Attorney, or their respective designees. The Coastal Erosion Hazard Board of Review and has the authority to: A. Hear, approve, approve with modification or deny requests for variances or other forms of relief from the requirements of this chapter. B. Hear and decide appeals where it is alleged that there is error in any order, requirement, decision or determination of the administrator, including stop or cease and desist orders. Notice of such decision will forthwith be given to all parties in interest. The rules and procedures for filing appeals are as follows.
