General election for Village Trustee scheduled for March 18, 2026.

RESOLUTION CALLING VILLAGE GENERAL ELECTION – RESOLUTION NO. 5-2026 The following resolution was offered by Mayor Buttaccio, who moved its adoption, seconded by Trustee Henry, to wit: RESOLUTION DATED FEBRUARY 02, 2026 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF THE GENERAL ELECTION OF THE VILLAGE OF MANCHESTER, ONTARIO COUNTY, NEW YORK, TO FILL THE OFFICE OF TRUSTEE, FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR (4) YEARS, EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2026 ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18, 2026 FROM NOON TO NINE O’CLOCK PM IN THE VILLAGE HALL BY PAPER BALLOT. WHEREAS, the Village Law of the State of New York sets the Third Tuesday in March as the date for the general village election, but this year ,2026, it falls on St. Patrick’s Day and Election Day is Wednesday, MARCH 18TH, as directed by state law, and WHEREAS, the office of TRUSTEE, FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR (4) years, will become vacant on April 1, 2026, and WHEREAS, the following candidates have been nominated or petitioned for these positions, Trustee (4yrs) Charles E. Fine – Republican Nominee 14 Pratt Road Manchester NY 14504 No other Designee(s) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the general election of the Village of Manchester, the office of TRUSTEE for a period of four (4) years, the term to begin April 1, 2026, be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from Noon to 9:00 PM, in the Village Hall, at 8 Clifton Street, Manchester NY, Ontario County. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this election be conducted by Paper Ballot.
