LEGAL NOTICE








NOTICE is hereby given that the Examining Board of Plumbers for the City of Oswego will be administering an Examination for a Master Plumbers License & Residential Plumbers License, at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in the Engineering Conference Room, Third Floor, City Hall, 13 West Oneida Street, Oswego, New York.




Applications for the examination may be obtained at the Engineering Office, or the Personnel Office, both located on the Third Floor, City Hall, 13 West Oneida Street. Applications are also available on-line at www.oswegony.gov, under “Personnel Employment Applications.” A non-refundable fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00), cash or check made payable to the City of Oswego, is required to be submitted with the application. All applications and fees must be submitted to the Engineering Office or Personnel Office by 

5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026.




In accordance with Article II., Section 1(B) of the Plumbing Code of the City of Oswego, New York, effective July 1, 2020, “No person shall be examined by the City of Oswego’s Examining Board of Plumbers unless they shall have had experience of at least ten (10) years as a journeyman plumber or five (5) years as an apprentice and five (5) years as a journeyman plumber. Documented proof is mandatory.” The Board of Plumbers may, in its discretion, waive the requirements of this subsection where a person’s training and experience shall be substantially equivalent of the foregoing requirements.
