MOFFAT LIBRARY OF WASHINGTONVILLE NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF VOTING ON THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY AND THE ELECTION OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE WASHINGTONVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Section 260 of the New York State Education Law. a Special District Meeting of the qualified voters of the Washingtonville Central School District will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Moffat Library of Washingtonville, 6 West Main Street, Washingtonville, New York 10992 for the purpose of voting on the Moffat Library of Washingtonville annual tax levy pursuant to the Education Law and electing three (3) Trustees for the Moffat Library of Washingtonville. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Moffat Library approved absentee balloting for those eligible, in the same manner as absentee balloting is authorized pursuant to Section 2018-a of the New York State Education Law for school district elections. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of Moffat Library of Washingtonville announces three (3) available trustee positions on said Board of Trustees, effective July 1, 2026. All registered petitions to nominate candidates to stand election May 12, 2026 may be obtained at the Moffat Library, 6 West Main Street, Washingtonville, New York. Petitions and a brief record of personal experience and history must be returned to Moffat Library no later than April 11, 2026.
