Journal News ZBA Case No. 26-01 Issue of March 9, 2026 Public Hearing Zoning Board of Appeals Town of Greenburgh NOTICE: is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 285-48(B) of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Greenburgh, a Public Hearing will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 7:00 pm or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, on an application of Marcelo Orellana, for property located at 146 Prospect Avenue, (P.O. White Plains, NY 10607). Applicant is requesting a use variance to keep chickens (fowl) on the subject property; and if granted, applicant seeks an area variance from Section 285-16B(5)(c) of the Zoning Ordinance to reduce the minimum distance between an accessory structure and rear property line from 8 ft (required) to 6 ft (proposed), in order to legalize a chicken coop on the subject property. The property is located in the R-5 One-Family Residence District and is designated on the Town Tax Map as parcel ID: 8.10-13-10. The meeting will take place in the Town Hall auditorium and also online via Zoom.
