NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

LOCAL LAW NO. 1 OF 2026




PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on March 9, 2026 at 6:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, there will be a Public Hearing conducted by Town of Brutus Town Board at the Brutus Town Hall, 9021 North Seneca Street, Weedsport, New York 13166 to consider Local Law #1 of 2026 Establishing a One-Year Moratorium on Battery Energy Storage Systems. The purpose of Local Law No. 1 of 2026 is to temporarily halt development of battery energy storage systems, for a period of up to one (1) year, while the Town considers zoning changes and the enactment of zoning measures to specifically address the matters of community concern.




The proposed law is available for public review at the Town Clerk’s Office.
