Pursuant to New York State Executive Law Article 15-A and the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, OGS is required to promote opportu- nities for the maximum feasible participation of New York State-certified Minority and Women- owned Business Enterprises ("MWBES") and the employment of minority group members and women in the performance of OGS contracts. All bidders are expected to cooperate in implement- ing this policy. OGS hereby establishes an over- all goal of 30% for MWBE participation, 15% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises ("MBE") participation and 15% for Women-Owned Busi- ness Enterprises ("WBE”) participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBES and WBEs) for HVAC Work; and an overall goal of 10% for MWBE_participation, 5% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises ("MBE”) participation and 5% for Women-
Owned Business Enterprises ("WBE”) participa- tion (based on the current availability of qualified MBES and WBEs) for Electrical Work. The total contract goal can be obtained by utilizing any combination of MBE and/or WBE participation for subcontracting and supplies acquired under this Contract.
