ORLEANS COUNTY ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Orleans County, New York will receive sealed Bids for the Bridge Preventive Maintenance Project #2 (B.I.N. 3319150, 3319160, 3319200, 3318850, 3318880, 3318950, 3318970, 3319290, 3319300, 3361970) in Orleans County, New York. Bids will be received until and publicly opened and read at the following place and time: PLACE: Orleans County Legislature Office 14016 State Route 31 West, Suite 201 Albion, New York 14411 DATE: March 10, 2026 TIME: 1:00 PM Sealed bids may be mailed (return receipt requested) to the following address: Orleans County Legislature, 14016 Route 31 West, Suite 201, Albion, NY 14411 The work to be performed consists principally of the furnishing of all labor and materials for: Concrete repairs, wingwall reconstruction, guiderail replacement, drainage improvements and roadway reconstruction. Construction will be on the existing alignments with an off-site detour for each location to maintain traffic during construction. The forgoing is a general outline of work only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the work to be performed under the Contract. On or after February 17, 2026, copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the following location for each set of documents requested: Orleans County Department of Public Works 225 West Academy Street Albion, New York 14411 Jessica.Annable@orleanscountyny.gov (585) 589-6145 Contract Documents and addenda (if any) will be e-mailed to prospective bidders. The project duration is 150 days. All bridge sites shall be substantially complete and open to traffic no later than December 1, 2026. Once work begins on the project, the contractor shall work continuously until all work is complete at all sites. Bid envelope must have project name, bid date and bid time on envelope. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds and provide insurance in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Statement in order to be considered. Orleans County is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization Goal for this project is 0%. The Equal Employment Opportunity goal for Minority Participation is 5.3% and the Women Participation goal is 6.9%. Orleans County is exempt under Section 1116 of the New York State Tax Law, and therefore, no sales tax shall be included in the bid.
