NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

VILLAGE OF MOUNT MORRIS




NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing regarding a proposed local law entitled “Extending a Temporary Land Use Moratorium Prohibiting the Establishment of Tobacco Stores within the Village of Mount Morris” will be held on the 24th day of February, 2026, commencing at 6:30 p.m . in the Village Offices at 117 Main Street, Mount Morris, New York at a regular board meeting.




The Village Board of the Village of Mount Morris has considered a proposed Local Law entitled, “Extending a Temporary Land Use Moratorium Prohibiting the Establishment of Tobacco Stores within the Village of Mount Morris,” as the Village Board works to revise the provisions of the Village Code which govern the establishment and operation of tobacco stores and smoke shops within the Village so as to better protect the health, safety, and welfare of the Village’s residents and the general character of the Village community.




THIS PUBLIC HEARING IS BEING HELD TO HEAR ALL INTERESTED PARTIES AND CITIZENS FOR OR AGAINST THE ADOPTION OF SAID LOCAL LAW.




A copy of the proposed local law is also available for review at the Village Clerk’s Office during regular office hours.
