Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. Public Hearing Notice NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., County of Ontario, State of New York, on the 2nd day of March, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Hopewell Fire Station 1, 3393 County Road 4, Canandaigua, New York, 14424, with respect to the proposed issuance of tax-exempt loan obligations by the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. (the “Fire Company”), a New York not-for-profit corporation and a qualified volunteer fire department within the meaning of Section 150(e) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”). THE FIRE COMPANY PROPOSES to enter into a tax-exempt loan in an amount not to exceed $320,000 to finance the acquisition of a pumper\rescue truck. The fire apparatus will be owned and operated by the Fire Company and is expected to be housed at 3393 County Rd 4, Town of Hopewell, Ontario County. Service Area: The Fire Company’s contracted fire protection service area within the Town of Hopewell and surrounding mutual aid areas. THE OBLIGATION is intended to be issued as a qualified tax-exempt obligation pursuant to Section 103 of the IRS code of 1986, as amended. The Obligations shall not constitute a debt of the State of New York, the County of Ontario, the Town of Hopewell, or any other political subdivision thereof, and neither the faith and credit nor the taxing power of any such governmental entity shall be pledged thereto. THE PURPOSE of the public hearing is to provide reasonable opportunity for interested individuals to express their views, both orally and in writing, regarding the proposed issuance of the Obligation and the Project to be financed. All persons interested in the subject matter of the hearing will be heard at that time and place.
