ORANGE COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COUNTY OF ORANGE PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Legislature of the County of Orange will meet at the Orange County Government Center, Legislative Chambers, 255 Main Street, Goshen, New York 10924 on the 19th day of February, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. to hold a Public Hearing to receive public comment on a proposed acquisition of 2.1 acres of land to preserve Open Space in the Village of Chester. The maximum cost for the purchase thereof is $442,500.00, with the County share not to exceed $75,000.00. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the County Legislature has caused to be prepared and filed for inspection and explanation with the Clerk of the Orange County Legislature a detailed explanation of the proposal prepared by the County Department of Public Works.
