LIVINGSTON COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE Public Notice Wadsworth Library Notice is hereby given that the Annual Library Election and Budget Vote of the residents of the Geneseo Central School District, as taxpayers for Wadsworth Library, will be held at said library, 24 Center Street, Geneseo, NY, in said district, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, starting at 8:00 am EDT, for the transaction of such business as is authorized by Education Law. And notice is also given that a copy of the statement of the amount of money that will be required for the ensuing year for public library purposes may be obtained by any taxpayer in the district during the seven days immediately preceding the annual hearing which will be Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 6:30 pm at said library, except Sunday or a holiday, at Wadsworth Library during regular hours of operation. And notice is also given that petitions nominating candidates for the office of member of the Board of Trustees will be available at the library starting March 26, 2026. Petitions must be filed in Wadsworth Library no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, April 13, 2026. The following vacancies are to be filled on the Board of Trustees: two 3-year terms and one 2-year terms beginning July 1, 2026. And notice is also given that the application for absentee ballots is available upon request and that a list of all persons to whom absentee ballots have been issued will be available in the Library on each of the five days preceding the election, except Sunday or a holiday, and that such list will also be posted at the polling place on the day of the election.
