SUFFOLK COUNTY LEGAL NOTICE NEW SUFFOLK COMMON SCHOOL DISTRICT SUFFOLK COUNTY, NEW YORK (Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library District) NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING The Board of Trustees of the New Suffolk Common School District, Suffolk County, New York, HEREBY GIVES NOTICE to the qualified voters residing in the New Suffolk Common School District that balloting will be held at the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Free Library, 27550 Main Road, Cutchogue, New York, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, for the purpose of voting upon the proposition hereinafter set forth. Polls for the purpose of voting will be kept open to qualified voters residing in the New Suffolk Common School District between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., prevailing time. PROPOSITION Shall the Board of Trustees of the New Suffolk Common School District be authorized to request an appropriation of $251,220.33 for the period of July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, an increase of $6889.72, for the benefit of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Free Library by levy of a tax upon the taxable property of the New Suffolk Common School District? NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that absentee ballots shall be made available in accordance with the provisions of Section 2018-a of the Education Law. Applications for such absentee ballots may be obtained by mail or in person from the District Clerk, Erin Warlan, P.O. Box 666, New Suffolk, New York 11956-0051. Such application must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the vote if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. A list of all persons to whom absentee ballots have been issued will be posted at the polling place.
