NOTICE OF ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE CONTINUATION OF ORANGE COUNTY AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT NO. 1. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Article 25AA of the Agricultural and Markets Law and Orange County Resolution No. 230 of 2003, the Orange County Legislature is required and did designate March 1st, through March 30th of each year as the thirty-day period within which a landowner may submit a request for inclusion of land, which is predominately viable agricultural land, to a County Agricultural District. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Consolidated Agricultural District encompasses the Towns of Blooming Grove, Chester, Cornwall, Crawford, Deerpark, Goshen, Greenville, Hamptonburgh, Minisink, Monroe, Montgomery, Mount Hope, Newburgh, New Windsor, Wallkill, Warwick, Wawayanda and Woodbury and the Villages of Chester, Florida, Goshen, Maybrook, Montgomery, South Blooming Grove, Warwick, Washingtonville, and Woodbury, and is comprised of approximately 146,611.2 acres of land. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that at the end of the thirty (30) day period, any proposed additions to the County Agricultural District will be submitted to the Orange County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board for review, and thereafter the Orange County Legislature will hold a public hearing to receive public comment on the proposed applications and recommendations of the Board, for inclusion of said lands to the agricultural district.
