that a public hearing will be held before the Town Board of the Town of Riverhead, at 4 West Second Street, Riverhead, New York on the 17 th day of March, 2026 at or about 2:10 p.m. to consider a proposed local law amending Chapter 217 Article I titled “Administration” of the Riverhead Town Code and adding Section 16.1 of the Riverhead Town Code entitled, “Change of Tenancy”. The intent of the proposed amendment is to clarify when Fire Marshal review is required for a change in tenancy or use, ensuring buildings are evaluated for fire and life-safety impacts before occupancy. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a copy of the entire text of the proposed local law and the provisions of the existing law to be amended may be reviewed at the Office of the Town Clerk, 4 West Second Street, Riverhead, New York 11901, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and can be accessed on the Town of Riverhead website at: www.townofriverheadny.gov under the Agenda and Minutes for the March 17, 2026 Town Board Meeting.
