ERIE COUNTY LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF AMHERST NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF BICENTENNIAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a Public Hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Amherst on March 23, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., prevailing time, at the Amherst Municipal Building, 5583 Main Street, Williamsville, New York 14221, to hear all persons interested in the following: A proposed amendment the Town of Amherst Bicentennial Comprehensive Plan to amend 1790, 1860 & 1920 North French Road and portion of 999 Campbell Boulevard from Recreation, Open Space & Greenways to Medium Residential, pursuant to Article 8 of the Environmental Conservation Law of the State of New York and its implementing regulations (collectively known as “State Environmental Quality Review Act” (SEQRA)) and Chapter 104 of the Code of the Town of Amherst. The property described above is as follows: 1790, 1860 & 1920 North French Road & portion of 999 Campbell Boulevard SBL #27.04-1-12, #27.04-1-20, #27.00-2-29 & #27.04-16.1 Petitioner – SBLC Development Corporation Copies of the proposed Bicentennial Comprehensive Plan are available for inspection at the Office of the Amherst Town Clerk, 5583 Main Street, Williamsville, New York 14221, during regular business hours. This notice is provided pursuant to New York State Municipal Home Rule §20, Town Law §§ 130, 264 and 272-a, as well as §8-2 of the Town of Amherst Zoning Ordinance and Chapter 28 of the Code of the Town of Amherst. All persons in favor or opposed to the proposed amendment of the Town of Amherst Bicentennial Comprehensive Plan or the environmental review of the actions pursuant to Article 8 of the Environmental Conservation Law of the State of New York and its implementing regulations (collectively known as “State Environmental Quality Review Act” (SEQRA)) and Chapter 104 of the Code of the Town of Amherst, are asked to appear at the above time and place.
